Welcome to the Triangle Earth Day Events! You are part of the growing network of businesses making a collective impact on the health of our communities. Through this program, employees work together to complete a project with a local environmental nonprofit, making contributions like improved walkability, safe habitats for wildlife, pollution reduction, and pollinator- and visitor-friendly public spaces.

What will your team’s Earth Day Volunteer Challenge project be? The surprise is part of the fun!
Mission Reveal is a 45-minute virtual call where you’ll meet other teams, play for prizes, discover your Volunteer Challenge nonprofit match, and connect with your match in a breakout session to learn about their mission and your project.
Register for Mission Reveal then Meet the Triangle Nonprofits and see match hints at earthsharenc.org/earth-day/meet-the-triangle-nonprofits. Each nonprofit has made a video to familiarize you with their mission and the kind of work you may be doing in April. You’ll want to study up for a chance to win Guess the Match and Trivia prizes at Mission Reveal!
Gather your team and get ready for an unforgettable day of hands-on action!
Teams will arrive at their project sites eager to dive in, where they’ll learn about the nonprofit’s mission, discover the real-world impact of their work, and complete a meaningful project together.
But that’s not all—Judges will be visiting each site to chat with volunteers, get in on the fun, and help decide who takes home special Earth Day awards.
After a morning hard at work, it’s time to come together and celebrate!
Teams will gather for a delicious lunch and drinks at South Line Brewing, 518 Old Apex Rd. Cary. Join other volunteers and nonprofits to reflect on the impressive work accomplished. This is your chance to share stories, network with like-minded folks, and learn about even more incredible organizations making a difference in your community.
Plus, we’ll announce the well-deserved Earth Day Events Awards! It’s the perfect opportunity to unwind, network, and celebrate the power of collective action. Come for the food and drink, stay for the connections, and leave inspired!
Awards:
The Spirit Award – Given to the team that shows the most spirit and excitement about participating.
Teamwork Award – Given to the team that works best as a unit on the work site.
Best Overall – Given to the team with the most impressive overall impact.
Storytelling – Each team is encouraged to participate in the storytelling competition at the Lunch Celebration. Teams are invited to showcase their impact at the Lunch Celebration through any creative form they’d like! This could be a poem, song, interpretive dance—your chance to get creative!
