Welcome to the Triangle Corporate Earth Day Events! You are part of the growing network of businesses that are making a collective impact on the health of our communities. Through this program, employees work together to complete a project with a local environmental nonprofit, contributing to everything from reducing carbon in the atmosphere to providing local, organic produce to marginalized communities.
This page has everything employees needs to know about the program. Please read through the information below and email melissa@earthsharenc.org with any questions.

An on-site ‘Party in a Box’, provided by EarthShare NC, will wrap up the day, including local goods and a prompt for the team to submit a video for awards.
Awards:
- Best Overall – Given to the team with the most impressive overall impact, spirit and teamwork.
- Partnership Award – Given to the team that went above and beyond the planned volunteering.
- Sustainable Stewards – Given to the “greenest” team that actively reduced their carbon footprint during this event.
- The Storytelling Award – Teams will record a video from their day at the Party-In-A-Box to submit for the Storytelling award.
Storytelling – Each team is encouraged to participate in the storytelling competition. Teams will be able to create a video onsite during their project and afterparty to showcase their impact and share any details they’d like as to why they should receive an award. Feel free to get creative and include your nonprofit host!
Judging – Each location will have a panel of judges that will meet after the projects to review evaluation forms submitted by the nonprofit matches and your team video submission to determine the awards and present them at the Mixer event.
An early evening social event bringing together companies and nonprofits to celebrate impact. Light food and drinks will be provided, stories will be shared, and awards will be presented. All volunteers are welcome to attend and can can register in the Volunteer Registration form.
Awards – Judges will deliberate on award winners after the projects and present them at the Mixer event. The top five team videos will be played live at the Earth Day Mixer for judges to select the winner live.
Auction – an online silent auction featuring local and sustainable good and services will run through the month of April and a few high ticket items will be featured in-person at the Mixer event for silent bidding.
