Fri. April 11th, 9-11:30am

Falls Lake State Recreation Area located in Durham and Wake County, fifteen miles east of Downtown Durham, provides 7 access points to the reservoirs, more than 300 campsites, trails, and one of the premier mountain bike trail in the Triangle. It also serves as a refuge during Spring and Fall for migrating Monarch butterflies and a host of other birds and wildlife.
FSP will be working alongside a Falls Lake Ranger to enhance the habitat of the park. Leadership of the park is currently communicating the service needs to FSP and are excited to be participating in this project. Participants will need to be ready to be outside in the morning, wear sturdy shoes, and bring water.
