Walnut Creek Cleanup
April 11th, 12:30-3pm
Afterparty, 3-4pm
The project will be held at the Walnut Creek Wetland Center in Raleigh, where Sound Rivers has one of our trash traps located. The trash trap is a passive litter-collecting device that floats on top of the water to collect trash flowing through the waterway. We will begin the cleanup by talking about the issues facing our waterways, specifically in the Raleigh area. We will then begin the cleanup by removing the trash from the trap, followed by moving along the creek to remove additional litter from the banks.
