  • What will I be doing?

Digging holes, planting trees, applying compost, and spreading mulch. Depending on tree inventory available, additional project scope could include removing invasive plant species like Chinese privet, Japanese honeysuckle, and English ivy.

  • Where do I go?

4429 Old Country Mial Road, Raleigh, 27610

  • Where can I park?

Parking is available.

  • What should I bring/wear?

Water bottles (we have cups but prefer low waste), snacks, sunscreen.
If you do not complete the waiver online, please print it and bring it with you or email it to volunteers@treesforthetriangle.org

  • What will be provided by the host?

Gloves, tools, potable water, mulch, soil, trees.

  • Any special considerations?

Depending on project site, access to restrooms may be limited or a lengthy walk away. Please prepare in advance!

  • What if it rains?

Projects will continue in light rain. In case of heavy rain or unsafe weather, the rain date is Friday, May 1st, same times.

Improving the ecological and social resilience or the Triangle area through the planting of trees.The goal of Good Hope Farm is to honor Cary’s agricultural heritage while increasing the community’s access to farmland and connecting its residents to local, healthy food. They license plots up to two acres to new and expanding farmers, with all necessary equipment and infrastructure available on site. The farm features a demonstration garden and offers agricultural and nutritional educational programming.
