Sanctuary Clean-Up days are hands-on, outdoor volunteer opportunities that help keep the grounds safe, healthy, and enriching for the animals who call Carolina Tiger Rescue home. Volunteers support a variety of essential tasks, such as:
- Gardening & Habitat Landscaping: Planting, trimming, and caring for vegetation that provides natural shade, privacy, and enrichment around enclosures.
- Lawn Care & Groundskeeping: Mowing open areas, raking leaves, collecting fallen branches, cleaning and freshening flower beds near building, and keeping walkways clear for staff, volunteers, and tours.
- Weed Whacking & Brush Control: Removing overgrown brush and invasive plants to maintain visibility, reduce pests, and ensure safe perimeter access around habitats.
- Enclosure Maintenance Support: Assisting staff with non-animal-facing tasks like repairing fence lines, clearing debris, painting, or refreshing natural features outside the animals’ direct space.
These projects make a direct impact on the daily lives of the animals by keeping their surroundings safe, enriching, and well-maintained. Whether you’re tidying flower beds or helping refresh an enclosure’s exterior, every task contributes to a healthier sanctuary for the cats and a better experience for the guests who come to learn their stories.
