Build a New Ambassador Bird Enclosure

Lunch Celebration: 12-1:30pm

  • What will I be doing?

Volunteers will be working on building a new Ambassador Bird enclosure along our public Raptor Trail to house one of our Ambassador Birds. Volunteers will also be given the option to clear invasive plants throughout our property. This enclosure is 10ft x 15ft x 20ft and volunteers will be working on installing slats of the walls of the enclosure. Other volunteers who are not as comfortable using power tools will be welcomed to beautify our space by clearing invasive plants instead.

  • Where do I go?

  • Where can I park?

Parking is available.

  • What should I bring/wear?

Water bottle, Closed-toe, closed-heel shoes (required), clothes they feel comfortable getting dirty or stained, anything to be comfortable outside like sunscreen and bug spray.

  • What will be provided by the host?

All necessary tools will be provided like Gloves, tools, eye protection if needed.

  • Any special considerations?

Volunteers will sign waivers and photo releases and receive an overview about Carolina Raptor Center before the beginning of the project.

  • What if it rains?

Projects will continue in light rain. In case of heavy rain or unsafe weather, the rain date is Friday, May 1st, same times.
