Wing Haven Project, Charlotte

Garden Maintenance!
April 6th, 1-4 pm

  • What will I be doing?

The property of Elizabeth and Edwin Clarkson, Wing Haven Garden & Bird Sanctuary, is a respite for birds and other wildlife and a welcoming place to discover the beauty and wonders of nature. Volunteers will help in the garden doing seasonal maintenance: raking, digging, weeding, and potentially spreading mulch. Volunteers will also potentially clean the stream in our Children’s garden. Volunteers will receive background information on Wing Haven and have the opportunity to tour the gardens independently after the work day.

  • Where do I go?

248 Ridgewood Ave, Charlotte, NC 282

  • Where can I park?

There is parking on the same side of the street as the Wing Haven office and a small parking lot adjacent to 260 Ridgewood Ave.

  • What should I bring/wear?

Participants are recommend to wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

  • What will be provided by the host?

If possible, volunteers should bring. If not, Wing Haven has some that can be used.

  • Any special considerations?
