Park, Stream and Street Cleanup with Keep Charlotte Beautiful!
April 6th, 1-4 pm

  • What will I be doing?

Join Keep Charlotte Beautiful, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services, and Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation as we clean up litter in Charlotte’s parks, streams, and roadways!

  • Where do I go?

Camp Greene Park, 1221 Alleghany St, Charlotte, NC 28208

  • Where can I park?

There is plenty of parking at the park.

  • What should I bring/wear?

Participants should wear comfortable clothes and shoes that they wouldn’t mind getting dirty. Sun protection is also recommended, and volunteers may want to bring a water bottle.

  • What will be provided by the host?

Volunteers will be provided safety vests, gloves, litter grabbers, and trash bags. Staff will also have snacks, water, first aid, and sunscreen onsite.

  • Any special considerations?

Nope! Just bring big smiles and get ready to do some good.

  • What if it rains?

This is a rain or shine event. If the weather conditions prohibit a specific project from taking place, we will work with you and the project host to coordinate an alternate date.

  • Any more questions?

Contact your team representative for any questions leading up to the event.
For day-of questions, please contact Jonathan Hill. Email: jonathan.hill@charlottenc.gov | Day-Of Phone: (704) 582-3909

Learn More About Keep Charlotte Beautiful

Working together to create a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Charlotte

Keep Charlotte Beautiful (KCB) inspires and educates people to take action every day to improve and beautify their community environment. The KCB board works closely with neighborhood organizations and homeowner groups, as well as with area businesses, schools, and local governments, to create a healthier environment and enhance the quality of life for Charlotteans.

Engagement Opportunities:

KCB operates Charlotte’s Adopt a Street Program, a free opportunity to give back by cleaning up litter along a mile of road three times a year or more. KCB also works with many partners to host larger public cleanups throughout the year. Ask about ways to get involved during your volunteer project!
