Bike Break Down with Trips for Kids!
April 6th, 1-4 pm
Since 2000, Trips For Kids Charlotte has provided transformative cycling experiences for underserved youth. We operate through three main programs our Earn-A-Bike Program, Ride Program and our Community Bike Shop called the Charlotte Re-Cyclery. Bike Break Down events involve breaking down unusable bicycles to the bare frame. By doing this, we’re able to harvest reusable parts from the bikes to put back out into the community, and recycle whatever we can’t safely re-use. Each Bike Break Down event helps divert approximately 750 lbs of bicycle material waste from entering Charlotte’s landfills…while supporting our youth and community bike programs.
