Farm Planting with The Bulb!
April 6th, 1-4 pm
The Bulb is a nonprofit based out of Charlotte that aims to end food insecurity. We do that by hosting mobile markets in areas around Charlotte that are identified as food deserts. We bring high-quality produce that is purchased at fair market value from small North and South Carolina farms to our markets, as well as food we rescue from Trader Joes. We also grow at our farms in Charlotte and Concord!
Our farm in Charlotte has 16 plots and in April the farm will be preparing for what looks to be another great growing season. Our project will be working on our urban farm in Charlotte. The farm work will include planting, weeding, and other farm chores. The work that is done on this day will directly put food on someone in needs table in the coming months.
2586 Elkwood Circle, Charlotte NC 28205
Parking is available to their greenhouse/farm.
Participants should wear comfortable clothes and shoes that they wouldn’t mind getting dirty. Sun protection is also recommended. Volunteers should bring a water bottle and a fan if they would like.

It may be hot, and there will be manual labor in this project.
This is a rain or shine event. If the weather conditions prohibit a specific project from taking place, we will work with you and the project host to coordinate an alternate date.
