Sanctuary and Habitat Cleanup with Carolina Tiger Rescue!
April 13th, 1-4 pm

  • What will I be doing?

While we cannot provide specific details about the project you’ll be working on at this time, know that it’ll be light, outdoor construction. All projects are assigned to groups based on the needs of Carolina Tiger Rescue and the progress made by other groups. Other projects performed during the EarthShare Corporate Earth Day Challenge include grounds clean-up, weed whacking, moving logs and other clean-up, digging a trench, planting trees, etc. Every workgroup begins with a 30-minute tour of the sanctuary – so you can meet some of the awesome animals you will be helping.

  • Where do I go?

Carolina Tiger Rescue, 1940 Hanks Chapel Rd., Pittsboro, NC 27312

  • Where can I park?

Please park in the visitors’ lot!

  • What should I bring/wear?

Participants should wear long pants and closed toe shoes. They should also bring gloves, water, and sunscreen.

  • What will be provided by the host?

Carolina Tiger Rescue will provide gloves and tools.

  • Any special considerations?

We have quite a few fire ants, a lot of poison ivy, and occasionally a lot of mud, so long pants, boots/sneakers are required, and long sleeve shirts are strongly suggested. Volunteers typically do gardening or other heavy lifting/hard work.

  • What if it rains?

This is a rain or shine event. If the weather conditions prohibit a specific project from taking place, we will work with you and the project host to coordinate an alternate date.

  • Any more questions?

Contact your team representative for any questions leading up to the event.
For day-of questions, please contact Keri Crill. Email: KeriCrill@CarolinaTigerRescue.org | Day-Of Phone: (910) 315-4346

  • How do I sign up?
Waiver needs to be signed before participation!
Register here by March 31st!

Learn More About Carolina Tiger Rescue

Saving and protecting wild cats in captivity and in the wild.

Carolina Tiger Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit wildlife sanctuary whose mission is saving and protecting wild cats in captivity and in the wild. They are working towards the day when wild cats are living in their native habitat and are not exploited by humans. Saving and protecting wild cats in captivity and in the wild can only be achieved when members of the public become partners in their mission and their work.

Engagement Opportunities:

More engagement opportunities include work groups, boxes and cleaning material donations, and sponsoring an event. Carolina Tiger Rescue is also hosting a Tiger Day 5K in July! Ask about ways to get involved during your volunteer project!
