Triangle Land Conservancy has protected nearly 18,000 acres through conservation easements and land purchases in the Triangle region. We strive to create a more vibrant Triangle region by safeguarding clean water, protecting natural habitats, supporting local farms and food, and connecting people with nature through land protection and stewardship. Our efforts are greatly aided by the steady support from EarthShare NC and their ability to get the message of conservation out to a much wider audience than TLC could do on our own. Providing an easy route to workplace giving donations is a huge way they do this and their Corporate Earth Day Challenge and Breakfast has served to pull conservation groups together to engage corporations and their community. It’s a great program and after just two years, the improvements and growth are really impressive. I truly enjoy and value the connections EarthShare makes between TLC and other “green” organizations that aren’t in the same conservation “world” that we are. Heather Beard, EarthShare’s steadfast Executive Director’s warmth and professionalism make it a joy to collaborate on projects.
