Accomplished Environmental Groups Comprise EarthShare North Carolina
EarthShare North Carolina (ESNC) and each of its member groups is a non-profit, 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization. Each group is governed by a board of directors that represents the organization's specific interests and the community at large. All contributions are tax deductible and all are used for programs that protect our environment.
  • EarthShare North Carolina groups serve North Carolina
Many ESNC groups offer programs that directly benefit the local communities of North Carolina. Other Earth Share groups work nationally and have local offices in the state. North Carolinians benefit from the work these groups do to protect our environment.
  • ESNC groups get our seal of approval
Each year, EarthShare North Carolina reviews the activities, accomplishments, management, and financial reports of its participating organizations. Each organization must meet state and federal requirements, as well as Earth Share of North Carolina requirements for income/expense statements, program accomplishments and mission definitions to be eligible to participate in our payroll deduction campaigns.
  • ESNC guarantees accountability and fiscal responsibility
EarthShare North Carolina is recognized as a non-profit, tax-exempt charity by the Internal Revenue Service and the State of North Carolina. All contributions to EFNC are tax deductible. An independent audit is conducted annually, and annual reports and audits are available upon request.
  • How are contributions allocated to ESNC groups?
EarthShare North Carolina honors each employee designation for direct contributions to our participating organizations. Contributions made directly to the EarthShare North Carolina are distributed equitably among our member organizations.
